On Friday, July 20th, Falun Gong practitioners from around the world gathered in front of the Washington Monument to bear witness to the hundreds of thousands of their brethren who have been brutally persecuted by the Chinese Communist Regime.
It was this day eight years ago this day that the Chinese Communist Party began is campaign to eradicate the peaceful movement.
The persecution began with mass arrests, and escalated into long-term imprisonments, widespread torture, murder, the killing of Falun Gong practitioners for their organs, which are sold for transplant.
Although many governments and many human rights groups have publicized, described, and decried the ongoing persecution, no real action has been taken to end the persecution.
Falun Gong practitioners in China and around the world have persisted in the their practice and beliefs, and have remained steadfast in the face of worldwide propaganda attacks, bombings, beatings and burglaries overseas, and the most brutal types of tortures and abuses in mainland China.
